Notably Luke is the primary coach of World, European and Commonwealth Champion Rhys McClenaghan (a member of our Olympic Scholarship Programme).
Luke has keen interests in strength, conditioning and psychology and is excited about utilising the knowledge he has built up in these areas to enhance the delivery of the programmes on offer at Origin Gymnastics.

Matthew O’Connor
Matthew has been involved in gymnastics for over 15 years, initially as a competitor before becoming a coach.
Since completing his Gymnastics Pathway Sport and Exercise Science degree at Loughborough University, he has accrued 8 years of coaching experience, ranging from coaching beginner level recreational participants, right up to working with gymnasts progressing within the British and Irish national squad systems.
Matthew is also passionate about increasing the opportunities for gymnasts to strive for and reach their full potential and about the transformational effects that taking part in gymnastics at any level can have on building participants’ confidence, resilience and personal development.

Conor McGovern
Conor has been coaching for 10 years and working with beginner recreational gymnasts up to senior International level athletes.
Conor has coached and developed some of Northern Ireland’s brightest future prospects (some of which are now members of our Olympic Pathway Programme). He has also has helped develop British and Irish titles at age group level across multiple gymnastics events.
Conor will have a primary role in the Origin coaching team helping our athletes build towards major international levels. Conor’s enthusiasm for gymnastics is contagious and learning gymnastics with him will be a motivational experience for participants across our full range of programmes.
